BLACK NIGHT, BRIGHT LIGHTS

It was so black at Manuka last night you could be forgiven for thinking you were in Melbourne. At the opening Jess Herrington  confessed that she has been calling the current exhibition “Glitter and Shine” so I now I can confess to having called  it “Sprinkle and Shine” but its actually Sparkle and Shine, an exhibition of reflective works, each of which has a characteristic polish. Tiffany Cole, Jessica Herrington, Shellaine Godbold and Belinda Toll have put together a great group exhibition of  objects that  focus on surface in a sophisticated but never superficial fashion. Its a very mixed metaphor all up but seems what Jess, Shellaine, Belinda and Tiff are saying is … all that glitters CAN be gold !  At CCAS Manuka until July 26.
