BOOGIE 7

Drunk Mums

Drunk Mums

It’s become a family tradition to spend Easter at the Boogie festival in Tallarook. We just got back smelling of campfire and feeling bohemian after fancy dressing up and checking out some memorable bands, eating daily  trans fats and doing wees on trees.

Musical faves were the Drunk Mums (for obvious reasons, and also the Tamborine guy got so over excited he stripped down to his undies, see photo), The Hillbilly Killers, Tav Falco, and the all girl Japanese band, the Go Devils. The real Boogie revelation though was Zanzibar Chanel. He was the last act at the Hillbilly Disco, and told the munted crowd what to do. We needed some instruction. To 90’s house music, he rapped for us to get along to the Jazz Club and just dance that hurt away. It was resurrecting.
