AGNIESZKA PINDERA IN CANBERRA
Courtesy of the Australia Council’s International Visitor’s Program, Agnieszka Pindera spent the day in Canberra meeting artists and come evening, giving a talk about some of her more challenging projects. Agnieszka has come directly from the Sydney where she chaired a fascinating panel of Polish artists for the 19th Biennale. Back in the Capital – we started out early, at the National Gallery of Australia taking in James Turrell’s spectacular work in the garden and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Collection inside. Agnieszka was also able to catch a glimpse of the notorious Dancing Diva, scarcely “moments” before he made a hasty exit from the dance floor. After a quick visit to the National Portrait Gallery it was off to ANCA at Mitchell and Dickson for some high speed visits to artists in their studios. Back at CCAS Agnieszka met the artists involved in the 2104 Studio Residents Program and several who are currently showing work in Blaze Eight. All up an exhausting day for Agnieszka who is on her way to Melbourne and Hobart before heading back to Poland. Here are some photo memories of her wonderful time in Canberra.
