Another easter another Boogie. A handsome crowd of music loving dresser uperers took to the hills to get down, hunt for eggs and celebrate the long weekend with friends and family. All girl trio Modesty were the stand out band of the Festival. They played to adoring fans in the clubhouse, where multi talented lead Kate Boston Smith had earlier compared a very successful Speed Dating session. It went a long way toward building new connections for the romantically inclined. The hook ups slow danced cheek to cheek at the Hillbilly Disco then retired to a bonfire for an Easter smooch. Some took to pagan dance stick chanting under the moonlight gums, but this is a difficult scene to convey and may best be left to the imagination. Back on stage other stand out performances were delivered by Teeth and Tongue and the very demonstrative Stella Angelico. Gary Clark Jr. added the international flavour. The Boxwars crew continues to delight with their sculptural cardboard works and battle cries, this year an orchestra and a huge tank like trojan horse. After 3 long nights and days at Boogie my bed back home has never looked better.
