Natasha Rudra and Jeff Chan dropped in this morning to do a featurette for Canberra Times on #selfie the 2014 CCAS Member’s Show. Alex and Sabrina obligingly posed in a myriad of compromising positions for the eager eye of Jeff’s trusty camera. Meanwhile the social secretary cranked up the iPhone and recorded the proceedings. Too much fun !

The CCAS Member’s show has been a significant event on Canberra’s cultural calendar for as long as anyone can remember. (… yesterday for many of you …) The works for this years exhibition #selfie are all in and on the walls of CCAS Gorman House Galleries. Goes without saying that the members have had a great time with the theme of self-portraiture and there are many, many works that are absolutely brilliant. Interestingly members have eschewed the notion of the ubiquitous selfie as we know it in favour of broader interpretations. Sure wouldn’t want to be the judge this year ! The prize winners will be decided Friday evening 6.30 ish so please don’t be late. #selfie is only up for two days Friday 15th and Saturday 16th. Blink and you will miss it. It’s a very entertaining exhibition indeed. Works are for sale and all money goes to the artists – a great opportunity to buy excellent art at reasonable prices.
