2 CCAS studio residents and one Ph.D candidate ANU Art School and you have a show – and its all about small rituals. That’s those little things one does on a daily basis ad infinitum and ad nauseum that don’t really mean anything until they are documented, processed, digested and thus become art. Naturally the work is minimal (ish) and styl(ish) with all artists demonstrating their formidable skills in launching domestic activities and personal pursuits into realm of high art. From Issy’s flexible endurance levels, to Deirdre’s map walks to Wellies family’s PH levels there is a lot of “crafted” data to reflect upon. Small Rituals at ANCA until 27 August.
