Its already the second of the 2015 Studio Residents exhibitions and its another cracker. Isobel (Issy) Rayson explores the very notion of mark making in considerable detail (as she does). But Issy takes it one step further, viewing art production, in particular “drawing”, as evidence of her presence or absence in a certain place or time. Its work that is in many respects highly experimental while being masterfully produced and ultimately very pleasing to to the eye (without being unchallenging). Interval goes way beyond drawing and when seen as a whole it draws upon many forms that are presented as a neat unit (read installation). In short a show that has everything ! Last night opening audience was loving it and so will you. Interval at CCAS Manuka until February 15.
