SPEAK UNEASY

Shagsy Shags has been at it again – performance art that is. This time in Speak Uneasy (part of Noted Festival) at Smith’s Alternative. Her performance was called FLOOD in which she wrote (flooded) herself into a glass display cabinet with the words from Jane Rawson’s story The Lake; about people who live under Lake Burley Griffin. It starts ‘If you’ve seen us entire, then you are no longer alive to read this story so never mind you’. Also involved some amazing local talents – Nicci Haynes, Caren Florence, Jane Rawson (author), Angela Gardner (poet) and there were little zines of the story to take too.
