If every picture tells a story, Amy McGregor’s new exhibition Episodes is a ripping yarn. Its an exhibition that explores narratives through the provision of visual cues observed from TV crime mysteries of the 70s and 80s. I have got to say I love this show, the way each piece fires the imagination, evokes another era of movie stills and the sickly pastel colours (meant in the nicest way!).Each images seems to represent an incident that ultimately will be constructed by the viewer as they grapple with cues and clues. There is of course no specific question or answer, no right or wrong but Amy’s rich, evocative images will entertain, perplex and fascinate her audiences.
At CCAS Manuka until 2 September
