With CCAS Manuka looking so great , new doors wide open on a balmy night, the atmosphere for the opening of Rose-Mary Faulkner’s new exhibition Profile was perfect. Rose-Mary’s works explore the female form from the perspective of the self. In other words views of what we can see of ourselves through our own eyes. The subtly of these works is beautiful and breath taking as Rosemary uses various papers, silk chiffon, cotton voile and kiln formed glass with decals. Images are consistent across all surfaces than the mix tends to make this a most rewarding exhibition. The arrangement of works in the gallery opens up a lot of space while creating zones that focus one’s attention on the printed papers fabrics and plates. People gunna love this show – do already. At CCAS Manuka until 17 November.
