Dan and Alexander social distancing CCAS style

In a million years we never, ever thought there would be a social pages post that focuses on “social distancing” ! Or that there could even be such a thing. All this of course is set around the 1 – 1.5 meters we should stay apart while the Corona Virus wreaks havoc throughout the world. Fortunately in our new space, which we have dreamed of for years, and now cant open, is ideal for social distancing. It’s commodious . So in this weird new regime staff have to call call across the room and who knows, a new and musical language might develop – as it did with mountain goatherds. The government has also imposed a limit on the number of people who can be inside restaurants, pubs and other venues at one time, limiting numbers to one person for every four square metres. CCAS supports the government in this of course and like a number similar galleries we have closed the doors until it’s safe to open them again. Openings, public programs, artists talks and meetings are pretty much off the menu for the time being. CCAS very much regrets having to close for any amount of time and we were so looking forward to a spectacular opening party in the new digs. Right about now. Rest assured this will happen – we just don’t know when. In the meantime look at it this way, the more highly developed our social distancing the sooner we can get back to the way we were … Note: not all galleries throughout the country are closed. Some are defiantly remaining open as long as possible while others are open by appointment. So it’s always wise to check individual venues and their current status. In the meantime we will keep you updated through social media. Spare a thought also for the devastating affects the virus has had, and is yet to have on the arts. And most importantly take care, look after yourself.
